Do you work with property restoration and property management companies?
Yes. A lot of our hollow metal work comes from property managers and restoration firms who need the job documented and done to code. We are fully insured, with $5 million in general liability and $5 million in commercial auto coverage.
What's the difference between a hollow metal door and a regular steel door?
Hollow metal doors are purpose-built commercial assemblies: heavy-gauge steel faces over a reinforced core, hung in steel frames. They outlast residential-style steel doors by decades in high-traffic commercial use.
Do you install fire-rated hollow metal doors?
Yes. We install labelled fire-rated doors and frames, and we install them correctly. A fire-rated door only keeps its rating if the frame, hardware, and clearances are right.
What is an Ambico-certified installer?
Ambico manufactures specialty sound-rated and blast-resistant doors. As a certified installer, we're trained to install these assemblies to the manufacturer's spec, which is required for them to perform as rated.
Can you replace a door without replacing the frame?
Often, yes. If the existing frame is sound, we can fit a new door to it. If the frame is damaged or rusted, our on-site welding lets us rework it in place instead of cutting it out.
